About this Session
This session focused on the challenges of this cultural moment and the need for the church to reclaim its place in the arch of hope. We still proclaim the good news, that Jesus Christ lives. Bell offered examples and tools to help us strategically reclaim our place and remember our first love.
About the Speaker
Dr. Ron Bell is the Lead Pastor of Camphor Memorial UMC in St. Paul, Minnesota. Bell is married to Dr. Eboni M Bell and they have two phenomenal sons. Prior to leading Camphor UMC, Bell founded The Arise Church, a new church start in Wilmington, DE. He also spent four years working as the director of congregational development for the Peninsula-Delaware Annual Conference.
Today, Bell continues to consult with churches, universities and conferences around planting and growing effective ministries. His two areas of specialty are 1) engagement of Millennials and creating practical growth strategies for urban church planting, and 2) helping systems process grief, trauma, race, and loss through a Christ-centered lens.
Bell is a regular guest columnist for the Saint Paul Monitor. He has written articles for The Upper Room, and has published articles in the Minnesota Coalition for Death Education and Support quarterly journal.
